HAVE A QUESTION FOR SHUBHRAJI?

From years of experiencing life, I have found out that God does not always give us what we want but gives us what we need. After years of having materialistic desires, I have decided that it is better to ask for ‘purity of heart’ and ‘purity of bhakti’. My quandary is ‘why is He taking so long even to give me this dharmic desire?

Time is not linear in the Divine realm. Your true wish of purity itself, accompanied by effort in this direction should already bring waves of joy in your heart! When we wait for a specific result – we are often dissappointed! If you can let go of how and when you will receive devotion and know that the very act of worship is the manifestation of devotion in your heart. That feeling of love for God will lead to your inner purification in an instant. In other words, the longing for God is the very experinece of bhakti or devotion.He is already granting your desire-you just need to be aware of it!
