It is with great joy that I brought my Lotus child “In The Lotus of The Heart’ into the world!! Barbara and Linda co-Directors of Woodstock Yoga in Woodstock NY hosted the event and gave a beautiful introduction. The room was filled with people- people most of whom I knew – and there were also many new faces. People from the yoga community and even some out of towners and my neighbors were there!
There were my students and people I knew from 1997 in the audience and I was touched by the show of support.
I spoke for a few minutes acknowledging all who were instrumental in bringing this project to fruition – here is an excerpt from my launch speech -…” This is the single most popular question(relationships) whether it be Woodstock, New York city, Santa Fe, Spain, Hong Kong, anywhere in the world …This book is from these conversations, talks and workshops I have given through all these years….
This process started at the end of 2011 and the book went into printing just this August (2014).
The funny thing is that when you write and write and re read and re read – you actually want to forget everything you wrote – because you have read it over so many times….you beg your friends to read it – and I must thank Rajpriya my guru behan (spiritual sister) who spend countless hours giving suggestions of how I should not say things – and reminded me that my Guru would be very happy with this line – but raise His eyebrows at this! And so I have to admit I have quite enjoyed reading bits and pieces of it after the printing and I hope you too will enjoy it and get something of value from it!…”

It feels good that I have finally published my first book book! That too, self published it. However, one should put everything in perspective – a worthwhile achievement – but just another day….no need to glorify oneself! There is much work to be done and continue in service f the world.
